Hi my name is John and welcome to my Fusing Monkey web page.

I've never been able to sit still so I have always found it interesting trying different things out and learning. I enjoy doing different crafts as I sometimes become unfocussed so I enjoy flipping about between using different materials.

I create and make beautiful and unique items by monkeying around with ideas and fusing them to make them come alive. I particularly like bright colours and using different textures to create unique items for people to buy. I enjoy working on commission pieces for people who bring their own ideas that I can make into something special.

This is done from my home in Lincolnshire, near the coast.   I work part-time which works very well with splitting my time between my job and the fun of creating.

All creations are hand cut out of glass, cleaned and prepared, then fired in a kiln at different temperatures.  This creates different textures, shapes and forms.  The kiln process is lengthy, being up to 24 hours per firing.   Some creations need more than one firing.

I enjoy creating random items for other people to enjoy and find the creations side very therapeutic to suit my needs. 

I have a very relaxed attitude to what I do and some people say to related but then you enjoy more what you create.  

I work part time helping people with SEND needs so I have a good life of working while creating something different.
